Tiki Hut with sunken kitchen
We built an authentic 20 foot round tiki hut with a 5 foot thatched cupola in a customers backyard beside their lake. The poles were made from Florida native cypress hewn to a smooth blond finish. The thatched roof was made from fresh Florida palm fronds individually attached to create shelter from the rain and tropical sun.
A tropical tiki hut bar shifts people into a party/vacation mode and the good times begin. Tiki huts (“grass huts”) often are found on tropical resorts in vacation islands. Today, more and more people are finding they can create this tropical paradise in their own back yard for year around enjoyment. Tiki hut blending with nature
The first thing I noticed when the construction crew sent me a picture of the completed hut and thatched roof (made of fresh cut palm fronds) was how nicely the tiki hut blended into the surroundings of the beautiful farm it was built on. I had to look hard at the picture to locate the tiki hut, as it fit in so nicely with the natural environment of trees and lush greenery.

Tiki Hut for Treatment Center
Big Kahuna Tiki Huts recently completed a custom built authentic Tiki Hut at The Treatment Center in Lake Worth, Florida. The Tiki Hut was a 25x25 square foot hut with a cupola on the top.
The Treatment Center is an inpatient drug and alchohol detox and treatment facility. Their mission is to "restore hope."

Triangular Tiki Hut
Big Kahuna Tiki Huts builds all shapes and sizes of tiki huts. Depending on the size and area of a customer's outdoor space, a tiki hut can be custom-designed to make the most of the new tropical living area.
Our customer in Palm Harbor wanted a tiki hut on their pool deck. In order for the hut to fit in perfectly with their surroundings and close to the pool, Big Kahuna built them a tiki hut that was triangular-shaped.
The front of the tiki hut is 18 feet across. The sides that meet in the back to form the triangle were 12 feet on each side.
